It's A Big Day

It's a big day today!

I've been involved in brands for over a decade and I always love this time of year, in a weird way.

Often in this newsletter I share that I find 'calm in the chaos'.

It's true, I do.

And when you're in the world of retail, November and December is always chaos. You've got Black Friday, Xmas shopping and Boxing day, just to name a few.

So it's busy, it's wild and it's pretty chaotic.

But at the same time, the weather is getting warmer, you can almost reach out and touch Summer and you've got Xmas and the holidays to look forward to.

It took me a while to love it, however.

Eight or nine years ago, I was not as calm amongst the chaos as I am now.

I could never sleep around this time of year, I'd wake up at 4am, not get back to sleep, go for a run or to the gym and be in the studio working by 5.30am.

I'd crash at 8.30/9pm and do it all over again for a month or so.

And sure, it's still really stressful this time of year. But I am used to it, and I love it. It's exciting, there's a vibe and everyone's energy picks up.
