Fit

True to size. Designed to contour the body without restriction to reduce drag, and maximise cooling efficiency. Bonded seems for comfort. Length is slightly longer than standard.

VIP Race Singlet

When the Runly VIP Race Singlet (XL) arrived, I opened the package and genuinely thought I’d been scammed by minimalism. I’m a larger hybrid athlete — the kind who lifts heavy things for fun and also runs long distances for reasons I still can’t fully explain, so when I pulled out what looked like a single square centimetre of fabric, I wondered if Runly had accidentally sent me a bookmark instead of a singlet.

Trying it on didn’t help. It was snug. Not “performance fit” snug, more like “this singlet is trying to negotiate a peace treaty with my lats” snug. And the Y‑back style? Let’s just say I wasn’t emotionally prepared to expose that much shoulder architecture. I looked like a powerlifter who’d wandered into a triathlon by mistake.

But then I took it out for a long run… and everything changed.

Somewhere around the 2 km mark, I realised I couldn’t feel it anymore. Not because it snapped, disintegrated, or was stolen by a passing magpie, but because it basically merged with my body like some kind of athletic symbiote. By 18 km, it was still cool, still comfy, and my nipples were still intact and thriving. No chafing, no burning, no emergency taping required. For a larger hybrid athlete, that’s basically a religious experience.

I’ve since worn it on multiple long runs and even a half marathon, and it’s been consistently brilliant. Lightweight, breathable, and somehow strong enough to survive both my shoulders and my mileage.

If you’re a bigger unit who lifts, runs, and occasionally questions your life choices, this singlet will surprise you. It looks tiny, feels weird at first, but performs like an absolute champion. 5 stars all the way!

Light & Airy, True to Size

The VIP singlet is made with a whisper-light mesh fabric that is incredibly comfortable. Wore on my 30km run last weekend and got zero chafe. Only reason it didn't get a full five stars is because it needs some reflective elements. Please consider at least making your logo reflective on the back.
