Runly Updates #71

Runly Updates #71

Hey guys!

We've had so many new faces around here lately.

If you're new, my name is Robbie. I'm the founder of Runly 🫡 Every week I send this email to give you a refreshingly honest update about what's happening at Runly.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

Last week we sent out a customer survey to get some feedback and learn more from our customers about who they are and why they run.

It can be quite daunting to receive feedback en masse.

Your heart sinks a little bit while it builds up the courage to read through each piece of feedback.

In fact, I haven't even gotten through every response yet!

I've blocked out half of my day tomorrow so that I can read and understand each and every piece of feedback.

But I'm going to share a few interesting stats.

One of the big indicators of how we're doing is called an NPS (Net Promoter Score). It's basically how likely it is for a customer to recommend a brand (Runly) to a friend.

I have really been wanting to know this.

I opened it.

"OUR NPS IS 73!" I yelled out to my wife.

She turned around.

"Only 73?"

NPS is calculated a little different. It's not a score of 0-100.

For example, anything over a score of 40 would be considered fantastic.

Here's some context from Google:

That's amazing!

The truth is that I want to grow Runly so that we can positively impact as many runners as possible.

But at the same time, I want to do it authentically. That is the most important thing to me.

So to have this kind of feedback is really special.

YOU, AS RUNNERS.

There was a handful of questions in there that provided some really interesting insights about Runly customers.

Here's some that you too may find interesting.

87% of Runly customers run 3 or more times per week.

I suppose that's not really that surprising, perhaps. We're a running brand after all.

But it does show the commitment and passion that you have as runners.

84% of Runly customers have run a half-marathon or more.

57% of Runly customers prefer road running over trail.

70% of Runly customers incorporate strength work in their training.

Only 2.4% of Runly customers have purchased for someone else - C'mon guys!

78% of Runly customers categorise themselves as either 'beginners' or 'intermediate' runners.

I found some of these stats to be really interesting!
