WE'RE IN! Melb Mara 🔒

Hey guys!

Hope you're having a great week!

It's been a bit of a difficult one for my family & I, with some challenging news. So I've taken the foot off the accelerator this week to spend a bit more time with the fam.

If you've had to wait an extra day or so for a reply to an email or message, I do apologise! But I'll be back fully next week.

That's life, as they say.

This time last week I wrote about how for the first time in a while we had a bit of momentum and consistency.

Fast forward 7 days and in some ways it feels the opposite!

One of the difficult things about running a business, and brand, is managing the ups and downs.

For example, as we enter the first day of August, July ended up being our 2nd biggest month ever. But on the flipside, there were a couple days in the last week which were some of our lowest this year.

It's difficult as a founder to manage those highs and lows.

For me, having a consistent routine, structure and outlet (running/exercise) is key. I'm sure many of you will resonate with that.

Running and working out plays such an important role for a lot of us.

It provides structure to our day, but it's also an outlet for us. It's as much a mental health exercise as it is physical.

I've spoken to many people in running and around the Runly community who got into running as a mental outlet.

As you know, one thing leads to another and all of a sudden you've got a collection of 22 pairs of running shoes 😅

MELBOURNE MARATHON

If you read last week's newsletter, you'd know that I have been sweating on whether or not we were going to get the call up to activate at the Melbourne Marathon this year.

We were told we'd find out on Friday.

Luckily, Friday was such a busy day for me. It was a hundred miles an hour with different meetings, warehouse stuff, and checking off new samples.

To be honest, I had totally forgotten about it.

It got to just before 6pm and I finally crashed.

My phone pings.

It's an email:

I couldn't believe it.

We attended our first in-person event around 7 months ago. There were 200 people.

Now, we're attending one of Australia's biggest events with probaby around 60,000 people in attendance.

It's wild. It's exciting.

Now to figure out how we're going to pull this off!

That's all for this week.

Run well,
