Getting There & Where To Park:

To ensure a smooth start to your event, we recommend arriving at least 60 minutes ahead of the scheduled time.

Believe me, I've been rushed at the start line before and it's not a good feeling.

The organisers highly recommend using public transport on the day. Parking availability is limited, and race-day traffic congestion may cause delays.

Additionally, public transport offers the convenience of being close to both the start line and the MCG.

PARKING OPTIONS

  1. Alexandra Avenue (between Swan St Bridge and Morrell Bridge): Upon finding parking, stroll across Swan St Bridge and access the footbridge over the rail lines, leading directly to the MCG. Expect a 10-minute walk.

  2. Fitzroy Gardens (Wellington Parade / Lansdowne St / Albert St / Clarendon St - city side only): After parking, make your way to Wellington Parade Sth / Jolimont Terrace and use the MCG paths to reach the Ponsford Stand or Gate 3.

  3. Anderson St (access off Domain Rd or Alexandra Ave): Once parked, cross Morell Bridge and utilize the footbridge over the rail lines, providing direct access to the MCG's Ponsford Stand. Plan for a 20-minute walk.

Melbourne Marathon Runners Expo

Discover the Runners Expo nestled on the outer concourse of the iconic MCG.

Bursting with a dynamic assortment of fitness-focused vendors, there's a wealth of attractions to explore both pre and post-race. Whether you're picking up your race pack at the Race Week Office or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, there's something for everyone.

You'll find the Expo stationed on the external concourse of the MCG, conveniently positioned between Gates 1 and 2.

Runly has applied to showcase our running vests at the Melbourne Marathon 2024.

Sustainability At Melbourne Marathon 2024

The Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival is committed to developing and improving practices and considerations toward a more sustainable running festival.

This year the Melbourne Marathon organisers will be using compostable cups at the drinking stations.

If you're wanting to further contribute to the sustainability of running events, we highly recommend using your own hydration vests to avoid any waste. Our R700 Hydration Vest is a good option, but any hydration vest used would reduce the waste at running events.
