Knee surgery, pre-orders out & new stock in 💛

Knee surgery, pre-orders out & new stock in 💛

G'day everybody!

I hope you're having a great week.

Can you feel that?

The air is warmer, the plants and flowers are waking up & the vibes are starting to turn up. Spring is almost here. The best season (in my humble opinion) for running.

I love this time of year.

It's starting to get warmer, people come out of the winter slump and the vibes start picking up.

With the number of events around the country coming up over the next eight weeks, the running community is going to be absolutely bustling (if it wasn't already).

Many of you are on the 'gram, and Strava too.

And if you are, you'll be noticing all the training that is going on for some big events coming up.

It's exciting.

There's nothing like feeding off the energy and optimism of other people.

PRE-ORDERS ARE OUT!

Thanks so much to those that placed pre-orders over the last month or so. They have all officially been dispatched!

The team worked around the clock to get these out as fast as we possibly could. Massive effort.

If you didn't catch the pre-order, the good news is that we have a little bit of stock left!

So if you've been eyeing something off, grab it now before it's sold out again!

KNEE SURGERY

If you've been reading this founder update for a while, you probably know that I've been having issues with my knee, which has completely halted my training.

My original plan was to run my first 100km ultra this year.

By Feb, that plan was off the cards.

It's been an on-going issue for almost two years, but the last six months I've been more or less completely off the track.

It's not fun.

I've had many injuries over my running & sporting life.

But it never gets easier, really.

It's frustrating.

You know, I've had around 8-9 scans on this knee. CT's, XRays, Ultrasounds and MRI's.

Every single one has reported something slightly different. I'm not a medical professional by any means, but it's astounding to me how different scans and reports can tell completely different stories.

The most recent round of scans showed a couple of key things.

First of all, there's most definitely some worn out cartilage in there causing some problems.

Secondly, there's actually a small hole in the bone. Wild!

So I'm heading under the knife next week. The aim is to go in, have a proper look, clean it up as much as possible and then re-assess based on what is found.

You know, I'm not trying to be an elite athlete these days.

But like most people reading this email, I'm an active person. I find solace in running, sport and being active.

It's peaceful. It's therapy for many. It gives structure to your day.

So like most of you, all I want is to be able to move freely without pain - even if it's not going to break any speed records.

Just being out there is the most important thing!

I'll let you know how it goes this time next week.

Until then, run well.
Robbie
