New Products & Melb Mara Nerves

New Products & Melb Mara Nerves

Hey Jay!

It feels like for the first time in months we have a little bit of consistency. Wheels are in motion and we're just doing our thang'.

I am definitely someone who thrives on the hundred-mile an hour chaos, but you also need a little bit of a reset to go again.

I do believe this sense of calm has come from a place of knowing exactly where we are and what we need to do to be better and get better.

It's no different from training for an event, like a marathon.

You know what your starting base is. You setup a plan to get to where you want to be, then every day you show up and do the work.

There's definitely beauty to be found in the 'work'.

For us, we're really focused on getting the backend right so that we can better serve you in the second half of this year.

More stock on hand (haha I know, we sell out so much), locking in events, offering the best possible customer experience and also working on our product development cycle.

And on that note.

I'm so excited to this week have signed off on our final sample iteration of our new product.

Game-changer gets thrown around a lot.

But I think this is a product that is going to help a lot of people.

I've been working on this for a year. We've produced more than 10 different sample iterations. It's changed a lot over that time.

The design, the shape and even the colour.

It's probably the most excited I have ever been for a product release.

I'm even thinking of throwing a launch party in our Melbourne studio (who's keen?).

We're looking to get production underway next week, so we're probably a couple of months off before this product will get released.

Stay tuned for more info 👀

MELBOURNE MARATHON

For the last 12-18 months we've been dreaming of being able to setup at our home town marathon - The Melbourne Marathon.

We considered applying for the 2023 Melb Mara, but it was a little cost prohibitive for us.

It would be an incredible experience for us to activate at one of, if not the biggest event on the Australian calendar.

Applications opened last week and they're now closed as of today.

Apparently brands will find out tomorrow if they're in or not.

I'm not sure why, but I am a little nervous for it.

I know it doesn't impact our mission or what we're doing whether we get in or not, but it would be a great honour to be a part of our home town marathon.

There are many factors at play.

They will want to have a good spread of brand categories, take into consideration the size of the areas needed and whether or not any brands 'clash' or compete with their major sponsors.

As a Melbourne-born brand with an appealing product that doesn't clash with their major sponsor, I feel like we're in a good position.

But you never know.

Stay tuned next week to see if we're in or not!

As always.

Run well,
Robbie
