Getting There & Where To Park:
To ensure a smooth start to your event, we recommend arriving at least 60 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. Being rushed at the start line is not a good feeling, trust me, I've been there before.
The organisers highly recommend using public transport on the day. Parking availability is limited, and race-day traffic congestion may cause delays. Public transport provides easy access to the starting points.
PARKING OPTIONS:
- Milsons Point and Kirribilli: Limited street parking is available. After parking, it's a short walk to the start line.
- Sydney Opera House Car Park: For those running the full marathon, parking here allows for a convenient walk to the finish line area.
Sydney Marathon Runners Expo:
Discover the Runners Expo at Bradfield Park, Milsons Point. The expo features a dynamic assortment of fitness-focused vendors, making it a must-visit both pre and post-race. Whether you're picking up your race pack or soaking in the atmosphere, there's something for everyone.
Enjoy some displays from both Australian & International brands.
Sustainability At Sydney Marathon 2024:
The Sydney Marathon notes in one its fact sheets the following information:
"Sydney Marathon is aiming to achieve certification under the Council of Responsible Sport – certification for social and environmental sustainability at sports events."
What that actually entails is not well-documented, but it certainly looks as though the organisers of this great event are striving for a more sustainable event.
To further reduce waste, consider using your own hydration vests. Our R700 Hydration Vest is an excellent option.
