Newsletter #12 - A wild week, travel & new content coming ๐Ÿ‘€

Hey!

Welcome back to the weekly Runly newsletter! It's been another wild week at Runly HQ, and I'm excited to share some updates with you.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Robbie, and I'm the founder of Runly. Each week, I share my honest thoughts, updates on where the brand is at, and of course, talk a little bit about running.

If you're new here, welcome!

And if you're a loyal subscriber, thanks for hangin' around.

So, what's been going on at Runly? Let's dive in.

BUSINESS UPDATES

Things have been busy here at Runly HQ, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

We had a little bit of a lull during the Easter break, but we're back in full swing now.

I'm really excited. On Monday I'll be heading to Hong Kong to chat with some potential new production partners.ย

I don't know exactly, but I think it will be my 12th or 13th time in Hong Kong. It's almost like a second home for me.

With my background in product and brand development, I've been fortunate enough to travel to Hong Kong for business regularly, but with COVID, it's been almost 4 years since my last trip.

I can't wait to get over there, and I'm hoping to create some genuine behind the scenes content to share with you.

Next week's email will probably be written in Starbucks, or my hotel in Kowloon perhaps. Either way, stay tuned for that one.

I'm hopeful that we'll be able to secure some great partners that will help us take Runly to the next level. Product development is crucial for Runly, and making high-quality products that improve the running experience.

I'm also thrilled to say that the response to the Runly Hydration Vest pre-order has been phenomenal. Thank you to everyone who has placed an order so far! If you haven't yet, you better get on it because the early-bird offer is about to end - save $90 off the RRP.

AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

We've been lucky to have a lot of amazing people wearing Runly lately, and it's made me think about starting an ambassador program.

I'd love to connect with people in running groups and clubs, those who run regularly with others and can help spread the word about Runly.

People now message me almost weekly with pictures of people wearing Runly at events, run meets, Parkruns and more. It's a great feeling.

If you're interested in becoming a Runly ambassador, please send me an email. I'd love to hear from you.

THE RUNLY RUNNING BELT

Two weeks ago, I asked for your help in creating a new Runly product, and the response has been overwhelming!

Thank you to everyone who has emailed me with their ideas and suggestions for the Runly Running Belt.

We're working hard on designing and developing a product that reflects all of the incredible feedback we received, and we'll keep you updated every step of the way.

I'm hoping that next week we'll be able to lock in a partner, come up with the first design and get the ball rolling.

This is a project I've been wanting to do for 2 years and I'm excited that we're now on the way to making it become a reality.

Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.

PERSONAL RUNNING UPDATE

I don't know if you know this - but I talk about running A LOT. I get messages, emails & DM's daily from the Runly community and I love it. Whether it's asking a question about a product or just chatting about an upcoming event around the country.

Yesterday I spoke to Benny on Instagram who is gearing up the Great Ocean Road event in May. That is one of my big bucket list events that I'm looking to tick off.

Unfortunately for me, I've been on a heavily modified program in the last couple of months due to knee pain. So unfortunately I'm out this time - but I'm building my way back up!

What's your next event that you're eyeing off? Let me know!

Run well,
Robbie.
