Hey guys,

It's been so good seeing all of your photos across Instagram over the past couple of weeks. There's been a bunch of exciting events across the country, with plenty of Runly vests out there.

I was actually watching the recap video of one race in particular, and couldn't wipe the smile off my face every time I spotted a Runly vest. Truly amazing.

On a similar note, we're trying to expand our presence at events outside of Victoria this year. It's not always possible to get to the events logistically, but if we can support grassroots running events throughout Australia, then that can only be a good thing.

So I reached out to around five events across different states. Ones that I thought would be fantastic to partner with if given the opportunity.

I couldn't believe it.

Three came back to me the same day saying that they own a Runly vest and they love it! How amazing. One more came back and said he's been seeing them at his events and was meaning to grab one.

The last one had a picture of a runner with one of our vests on as the main feature photo on the website.

It's a much different story compared to two years ago, I can assure you.

Two years ago I did a few reach outs to see if people might be interested in what we were doing. It was early days. We really only had a couple of products, possibly just one at that time.

Some of the responses I got were truly savage.

And the thing is when you run a brand that you truly care deeply about, hearing negativity can sometimes be a real dagger. You can feel your heart sink a bit.

I often say to my wife how much less emotionally painful it would be if I started a brand that I didn't care as much about. You know, like cookware, or gardening, I don't know.

But then truly, what would be the point.

In some ways those responses I got a couple of years ago could've put the handbrake on the brand.

But I decided to keep going.

And I'm glad I did.
